How much do motorcycle tires generally cost?

Hi, I am a new rider and just got a 2000 yamaha R6. I needed new tires for front and rear fast because i can see thread from the outside already. How much do these tires cost generally?

I found from this one moto parts. Also how much will these tires cost to get it change?|||I've got a buell Firebolt with Perelli Diablo T tires and they are about 150 (back) and 120 (front). Since you have an r6 I would bet you have the same size tires 180 front 120 back. It really depends on how high performance of a tire you want, though. They can be as cheap as 100 or as much as 300+ for the rear. I would go with perelli's they have great grip and wear and they aren't really that pricey. Mounted and balanced you'll probably spend at least $300|||A good set of tires will run you at least $150.00 each|||Depends on the size, type of tire,(radial or bias ply). I put Metzelers on my cruiser that cost $300.for the tires and mounting.|||First of all...do NOT skimp on tires.Especially if you are riding an R-6.Plan on spending $150/each....easy.Most shops will make you a package deal.Meaning if you buy tires at retail or their price, they will mount and balance free or near free.Make sure they balance them.As this is as important as having tires that are not showing threads.Probably the biggest price factor is the rubber compound.Full on race compounds cost more. That is all there is to it.|||What country are you in? I take it you are in the USA as you say tires instead of tyres?|||Look for Shinko tires. Korean made. I paid 150 for a set. They have both track and road tires. Good traction, last quite awhile, too.|||Good tires run from $80 to $140
