Can i use a manual tire pump to fill the car tires?

Ok, so every like 4 days my car tires go down like 4 pounds. I was wondering if I could just use a regular manual tire pump to fill the tires. Is this possible and something i could do?|||sure you can but it's going to take a while to fill it and be a lot of work.|||Yes, you can. Like the others have said it will take a long time and lots of pumping, but it can be done.

A better idea is to take your car to a place that fixes flats for free. NTB, Discount Tire, and many other major tire stores will fix tires for free. You have a small leak, possibly caused by a puncture. The leak is small enough that it only leaks air under high pressure. After a few pounds leaks out it stops. The tire dealer can find the leak and many will fix it for free. They do this as a courtesy to their customers and potential future customers.|||*ugh* You can try... but chances are whatever you add manually will be lost fumbling with the valve that connects the pump to the tire. You'd be better off just going to the gas-station and pay the $1.50 to use their air hose. It'll be faster, less painful, and more productive.|||You could try, but you'll need arms like Arnold Schwartzenegger. Better off going to WalMart, Napa, or Pep-Boys and getting a portable air compressor that runs off the cigarette lighter plug. You should be able to get a decent one for under $50.|||any standard bicycle pump will work. 32psi is the rule of thumb and a will take a while to get there. If it takes only 4 days to get to 4psi its a fairly large leak. Probably have a nail in the tire.|||Yes if its off of the vehicle.. and it will take you a long time. No if your talking about while its on the car.. you can try but will get nothing in your tire from all the weight of the vehicle.|||Your not not strong to put air in a car tire. If your talking about a hand pump. Why don't you just spend the five bucks and get it fixed at Discount Tire?|||WOW, that is going to be a lot of work.. Why not fill it every day, or just take it to one of those air compressors at the gas staion.|||sure. air is air. it will just take you a long time. a car tire holds a lot of air, lots more than a bike tire.|||Yes you could, but you better have arms like POPEYE.........try taking the nail outa the tire.
