How can you protect car tires over long periods of outdoor storage?

I have a vehicle that is driven 4 weeks per year at most, the rest of it's time, it just sits outside. It now has brand new tires on it and i'd like to keep them in as best condition as possible. I know they make spray that you just spray on and walk away but does that protect them or just make them look clean? Also, should I cover them? Should the covers be water proof if I should cover them? How can you protect car tires over long periods of outdoor storage?
if the car is parked in the grass or anywhere water can get to the tires i would put some patio stones down and drive up on them to get the tires off the ground.. wood would be good too

the tires will dry rot over long period of time in the sun so tire covers is a great idea

it would be best if you could put the car up on stands ot take the weight of the vehicle and then take some of the air out of the tires,, coat them with a small amount of vaseline to protect them from drying out and use the covers to protect from sunlight.
Touchless tire spray is just for looks, like face powder. When your wife get's 70 years old, makeup makes her look better, but not like a teenager again. Old tires undertake the ravages of time. Stor them in a cool dry environment. You might put the car on jackstands to prevent flat spots. How can you protect car tires over long periods of outdoor storage?
My opinion if you put the car on blocks and store your tires in the garage out of the weather would be the best, if you decide to cover them it will help but your still in the weather, maybe put a good coating of armor-all on them will help also.
Yes cover them, sun-light is the biggest killer of tires. How can you protect car tires over long periods of outdoor storage?
