How do I rotate the tires on my 2008 dodge caliber?

I need to rotate my own tires but I was wondering how to do it? Do I just put the back driver side in the front and the back passenger side in the front and put both the front ones in the rear? I've never done it before but I need to get some more life out of my tires.|||I would suggest walmart they charge a fee one time and them they rotate them for life I think it is like $10 a tire.|||Rotation varies by vehicle.

Your owners manual shows the proper sequence.

Look in the directory under 'tires'

On many the rears come straight forward and the right rear goes left front and so on.

Remember the tightening sequence: 1 - 3 - 5 - 2 - 4.|||ok you take the rear driver side and put in on the front passanger side and take the rear passanger side and put it on the front driver side|||look in the owners manual. it usually has a diagram.

typically on an FWD it's front to rear and rear to front, same side.|||Remember you always want the tires with the most tread on the rear. If your fronts are worn a lot more than your rears you do not want to put the worn tires on the rear. The car will be more apt to hydroplane in standing water and you cannot control the car when the rear spins out. If the car hydroplanes on the front it will normally "push" and you stand a better chance of staying in control.
