I have a set of 31x10.5, off road tires, complete with rims. But they just seem to big. I got the tires and rims for free, so if all else fails I'll buy a set of smaller snow tires. The tires are nearly brand new, and it seems like a waste if i can still use them.|||31x10.50 is the biggest that will fit, but as you said it's kind of big for an XJ with no lift. That being said I'd go with something in the 30" or even 29" diameter range - the 235/75/15 is a
29 x 9.25 tire. Throw the old ones up on Craigslist if you don't want want them.|||here's what ya do bro...don't lose the tires, spend a hundred bucks on a economy 2" lift..its so easy to install and you don't need to change anything else.

its just a spacer on top of your front coil springs ( you just need to go to a part store and rent a coil spring compressor ) and most places you get all your money back when you return it so basically its free to use. and then it also comes with a bracket for your rear leaf springs, you just jack up the back and undo your back leaf spring bolts, take your the little bracket that's there and replace it with the longer one in the kit. like I said..its way easy. Good luck...also it will look a little tougher...don't go with the weenie tires...stay big and remember
"if your not getting stuck..you're not playing hard enough!!' Keep Jeepin.|||31x10.5 was the largest stock tire size available for the Jeep Wrangler. For the Jeep Cherokee, 225/75/15 is the largest size I know of. You could probably go to 235/75/15 without much trouble, as they are more common and probably less expensive.
