I just bought a 1990 Jeep Wrangler, 4 cyl, with 33/12.5/15 swamper tires...I live in New Hampshire on the base of a small mountain. The tires have lots of tread and are noisy and I have been told that AT tires will be better at handling the snow and ice we get up here. Any suggestions?|||A great tire for all situations would be the "Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Tire"..|||Any good tire rated M%26amp;S (for mud and snow) will work well for you. Just ask at a good tire shop. If you are thinking studded tires for ice, see http://www.ehow.com/facts_5031590_law-re鈥?/a> first as to specific rules for their use.
You would probably be better off using chains if you plan on extreme snow and ice rather than studs.|||studded snow tires are good on ice but have less traction on pavement, some states have laws restriction their use
