What could happen if I have 3 tires of one size and 1 tire of another size installed on my car?

The tire dealer installed brand new tires 2 weeks ago 3 correct sized tires (215 60 R15) on my car and 1 incorrect tire (205 70 R15). Was just in an accident I felt as if I lost control and couldn't stop quickly enough. ?? Now what?|||somebody made a mistake, was that enough to cause a wreck, probably not, that tire is a bit narrower, and not as tall, we do not know what the details were so we cannot give an opinion, I do know this, if you sell your evidence, you are screwed, but I suggest you contact an attorney, there are ways to get free consultations, how you know you have a winner, is if an attorney will take your case no money up front, otherwise, most attorneys will want 300 bucks an hour to persue this case (which I dont think you have as yet, but you did not provide enough details. I hope you were not injured, which brings up another thing, unless you were severely injured with permanent injuries, you dont get much money . best of luck , lets hope everyone walked away.OK|||That is not enough of a difference in tire size to cause loss of control. I do not know why you lost control, but it was not because the tire was different sizes.

That is a big enough difference to cause the headlights to be aimed wrong (which can cause an accident, but only if the accident happens because of visibility issues, not if it happens because of loss of control) or to cause the tires to wear out faster (but not in only two weeks).|||those 2 tires should be the same diameter and the 10mm narrower contact patch of the "wrong" tire would not be enough to cause an accident unless you were mario andretti doing qualifiying at Indianapolis. So it's really unlikely it was a factor in an accident.

I'd find another tire dealer for your next set.|||When you mix tire sizes on a vehicle not designed for it, you may encounter problems with steering, handling and performance. By driving a car this way, you're endangering yourself, your passengers and other drivers on the road...|||it is not a "safety issue " as the other morons stated.

but you should go back and make them put the correct tire in your car.

they prob just made a mistake.|||Get the 4th tire replaced. That's can mess up your alignment, and it gives you less traction when you need to swerve or come to a sudden stop.|||Tire height and rolling radius match. You have no law suit. You just got a skinner tire on the last tire but they will run together.|||I would definitely file a lawsuit|||If they did this without your knowledge, you may have a claim agianst them... if you knew, then it's your problem.

Why did they do this? Most dealers would not due to safety issues.
